Hitt Search‘s fee for Retained Search & Contingent Recruitment will generally be based on the structures below, however each assignment we undertake is different and for that reason we are always happy to discuss alternative ways of charging for our services. Hitt Search’s fee for Retained Search is 25% of first year remuneration (ie. basic salary plus any inducement / compensatory payments, guaranteed bonuses or commissions) which is generally charged in three instalments:

  1. An Initial Retainer of 30% of the estimated fee is payable on confirmation of the Client’s instruction.
  2. A further 30% of estimated fee is payable on delivery of the Shortlist and Market Map to the Client.
  3. The remaining balance of the fee (calculated on actual remuneration) is payable on formal acceptance of employment by the successful Candidate.

Hitt Search’s fee for Contingent Recruitment is 20% of first year remuneration, payable on formal acceptance of employment by the successful Candidate. Our standard contractual Terms of Business can be viewed in full via the link below.
